  • Distance

  • Duration

  • Distractions

  • Chain commands together

  • Get Back and Wait

  • Differentiate between heel and Loose Leash Walking

  • Place

To be successful in this program, your dog should be able to exhibit 90% proficiency with minimal deviation with respect to basic commands such as sit, down, stay, drop it, leave it, and off.

Don’t just be satisfied with Beginner Obedience, your dog has only completed elementary school!  Now is the time to refine those skills learned in Beginner Obedience and pair those skills with more advanced and beneficial skills up to and including off leash commands.  This class will help improve your dog’s impulse control, as well as expand on helping them deal with frustration, as all the basic commands you learned in the Beginner’s program will be put to the test as we focus on DISTANCE, DURATION, and DISTRACTIONS while using those commands. This program prepares you and your dog for more Advanced Obedience if you so choose and the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) program.
